XtremeInc 100 Mile Fundraiser Lunch

XtremeInc recognises that suicide amongst young people in rural Victoria is twice the rate than that of metropolitan areas. XtremeInc wants to create a region teeming with young people leading active, creative and healthy lives as valued members within their community.

To help fund these goals, XtremeInc hosted a special 100 Mile Lunch at the Old Castlemaine Gaol on Sunday 28th August, with the theme of ‘Mental Health Awareness’.  The crew raised $3,400, with all the proceeds from this event going towards XtremeInc Youth Projects not-for-profit organisation, supporting regional projects and working to strengthen the health and wellbeing and safety of our young people.

It was great to be a part of this event, from behind the scenes organisation, to promotion, and giving a brief talk on the day as well as hosting a quick mental health-themed trivia quiz.  It also featured music by talented young musicians Lily Betts and Aiya Goodrich, and fellow guest speaker Jeremy Forbes from HALT Australia.
